I took a couple of hours out of my busy studio work to take a few portraits of the guys working around the corner, this bike workshop Fitzroy Melbourne is just a stunning example of co-op style business.
For many years now Melbourne's ex-industrial heartland the inner suburbs of Fitzroy and Collingwood have been inundated by wealthy city workers, the old but interesting industrial buildings are either being repurposed for housing or nocked down.
This workshop has been under the flag of redevelopment for some time and i hope for the sake of all the local people that business such as these continue on.
It would be a crying shame to see this eclectic mix of youngsters, style fashionistas and bike enthusiasts leave the area!
