Walking the city at night is magical and almost feels timeless as the cities modern lights cascade and dance on the Yarra river and jets of flame shoot from turrets near the crown plaza.
Melbourne City is creaking a groaning with growth these days, its truly an Australian city on its way up again, new sky scrapers are approved regularly, each one trying to out doing the previous in hight and grandeur.
The recently developed docklands are full of promise and the Southbank is booming with retail and high priced restaurants and bars.
